Kanye West’s Mom Dies

Dr. Donda West, mother of Kanye West died Saturday night due to possible complications from a recent plastic surgery procedure. Donda West recently underwent multiple cosmetic surgeries in LA, including a tummy tuck and breast reduction by plastic surgeon, Dr. Jan Adams. Paramedics responded to a 911 placed from Donda’s residence at approximately 7:35 P.M. Saturday. According to TMZ they were told it was a “sick person call.” West was transported to the ER at Centinela Freeman Hospital in Marina del Rey where doctors attempted to resuscitate her, but were unsuccessful. Kanye West’s mother was pronounced dead around 8:30 PM that night at the age of 58. Kanye West issued a statement today.
“Kanye West, his family and friends would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support and kind words that have come in from across the country since the death of his mother, Dr. Donda West… In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Dr. West’s name to the Kanye West Foundation/Loop Dreams Teacher Training Institute.”
Dr. Jan Adams did speak with TMZ and reported that the death “was unforeseen and could have been caused by a heart attack, pulmonary embolism, or massive vomiting.” West consulted with Dr. Adams over a period of four months.
